Finalist in Tea Room of the Year 2008

At the end of November Fiona and Lisa swopped wellie boots for high heels and headed off to Hereford's Shire Hall for the Flavours of Herefordshire awards gala dinner. We were delighted to receive an award from the celebrity guests 'The Hairy Bikers' as a finalist in the Herefordshire Tea Room of the Year category.

The cider harvest is complete for another year producing a massive 61 tonnes of fruit! Thanks to all of you who helped bring the harvest home by picking the apples on the school visit days and the Big Pick.

Earlier this month we welcomed some new arrivals. Birchen Coppice School from Kidderminster had hatched some chicks as part of a school project and they have now come to live at Grove Farm. All very healthy and growing fast.

It is a good time to visit our shop which is full of lovely Christmas goodies such as homemade mincemeat and cakes plus the delicious Aberdeen Angus beef and lamb. Fresh vegetables, bread and milk available daily. There are also FREE windfall apples and a huge 20% off all frozen beef for those of you looking for a pre-Christmas bargain.

Grove Farm shop will be open as normal until 2pm on Christmas Eve. The shop and tearoom will be closed until 5th January while the Bunting family take a well earned break.

We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing everyone again in 2009.
